The idea is simple: a Telegram bot turns a message into a WordPress post. Here is the scheme I use.
Authentication
The WordPress REST API accepts an application password — safer than storing your main password.
ACF fields
If a field group is marked show_in_rest, ACF values are available in the acf request field and saved together with the post.
The flow
- The bot receives text, photos and tags.
- It builds a POST/PATCH to
/wp-json/wp/v2/posts. - It returns a link to the published post.
Publishing then takes seconds, and content can be prepared right from the messenger.
